## About
- Founder: Chris Miller (solo operator, based in the United States).
- Launched: 2024.
- Built in response to the cost gap between human translators ($250–$500 for a 10-page document, 3–5 day turnaround) and existing DIY options that required accounts, subscriptions, or complex workflows.
- Architecture: Next.js on Netlify with Supabase for persistence, DeepL for translation, Stripe for payments, Resend for email. OCR and word counting run entirely in-browser (WebAssembly) for privacy — those files never leave the user's device.
